About Us

The project addresses the disproportionate impacts of climate change and increasing flood risk in U.S. Gulf regions, where socially vulnerable and underserved communities inhabit areas with water quality problems, struggle with the capacity to mitigate flooding, and suffer from failing water and wastewater infrastructure.

Vision

To empower communities disproportionately impacted by hydroclimatic extremes to achieve resilience through collaborative research and justice-focused adaptation strategies.

Mission

To mitigate the disproportionate impacts of climate-induced water hazards by advancing interdisciplinary research, fostering inclusive community collaboration, and co-developing innovative tools and strategies that empower vulnerable communities in the U.S. Gulf regions. Through a focus on environmental justice, workforce development, and research infrastructure enhancement, the project aims to bridge critical gaps in adaptation planning and enhance decision-making for sustainable and equitable climate resilience.
